CleanStormWater in Viimsi, Estonia

Light Liquids Separator System

At the end of July, we delivered a 375 l/s bypass stormwater separator system with an internal cyclone sludge trap. The overall dimensions are 3000 mm in diameter and 12300 mm in length. This is the first separator of such type and size ever installed in Estonia. The separator was delivered within the framework of the CleanStormWater project as a part of a centralised multi-stage stormwater treatment & monitoring system in Viimsi Parish. The objective of the CSW project is to develop and test new stormwater treatment solutions that will effectively clean stormwater, ensure management quality and monitor water quality in near real-time. As a result of the project, the amount of hazardous substances (suspended solids, petroleum products) reaching the Baltic Sea will be reduced in pilot areas of participating countries by applying new solutions.
